Wrap Me Up

2021
Textiles (gauze), human hair
Created during Copper Leg Art Residency

During the residency, I worked through slow craft methods – foraging natural dyes, hand-dyeing textiles, and weaving on looms. Making as a kind of ritual: repetitive, bodily, performative. These old techniques become a way to think about living inside a body – how it’s our only bridge to others, and also a boundary. In Wrap Me Up, gauze and human hair sit between a bandage and a veil – meant as protection.
